finished Hatchet






This is the finished project. I think it looks amazing. It is also very sturdy and will work very nicely. It is high quality and will hold up to a lot of work. I also really like the stamped pattern.

I am dying this hatchet sheath so it looks cooler and helps contrast all the interesting parts of the sheath. I used a dauber (a dauber is a cotton swab attached to a metal rod) to spread the black leather dye.

I am making a hatchet sheath for my dad because he doesn’t have one, and they are super useful. I made this out of veg tan leather, which is generally a heavier weight leather, that will hold up to a tougher job like this.
