I used a groover to put stitching lines in the pouch so that the stitching wouldn't be hanging off the side of the pouch. The grooving also allows me to keep my stitches straight.

Satchel Part 1
My parents just got me a leather satchel kit so that I could make a satchel, because I have really wanted to make one. I got this kit from Weaver Leather Craft. I am using this satchel as a project for the Outdoor Life badge in Trail Life. I chose a satchel because it is light weight and very useful.

wallet
I created this wallet because I wanted a extra wallet to have on hand. I wanted to try making something new, and something people would buy if I were to ever start a business.
I made this wallet out of veg tan leather and wax thread. I used my Japanese leather working knife, leather punches, mallet, and sewing needles. I have had trouble making this wallet lay flat. I am guessing it because I used very thick leather so it would be durable.
